Where our deals come from

SipStory currently tracks more than 400 live deals across a dozen Australian wine retailers and wineries, refreshed every day. Here's exactly who we watch and how.

How we collect

Our collector reads the public product data that each retailer and winery already publishes on its own website — the same listings, prices and images a shopper would see. We normalise it into one consistent format, work out the true price per bottle, match the same wine across different shops, and rank everything by Sip Score. We refresh daily and log each price over time, which is how the “30-day low” and “price dropped” signals become real.

We collect respectfully and at a gentle rate, we only read publicly available pages, and we link every deal straight back to the retailer. We don't republish anyone's full catalogue — we point you to the best of it.

We add new wineries and retailers regularly — our collector is built to onboard any store that publishes its catalogue in a standard format. We're also working towards licensed retailer feeds, which will bring official imagery and the same wines from even more shops.
